The Big Update

As we announced in our previous article, "Reign of Talon: Season 1 Conquest" is bringing massive changes to Overwatch. This major update, scheduled to launch on February 10, 2026, introduces not only 5 new heroes but also a comprehensive overhaul of the perk system across the entire roster.

In addition to the new heroes (Domina, Emre, Anran, Mizuki, and Jetpack Cat), Blizzard has made significant changes to existing heroes' perks. Some perks have been replaced with new ones, others have been updated with improved effects, and several brand new perks have been introduced to shake up the meta.

Tanks

Reinhardt

Replaced Perk:

  • Barrier Re-chargeCrusader's Resolve
  • Old: Distance travelled while using Charge regenerates your Barrier Field by 200 per second.
  • New: While using Barrier Field, your passive health regeneration triggers 75% sooner.

Winston

Replaced Perk:

  • Barrier TossElectric Charge
  • Old: Winston now throws his barrier forward when used.
  • New: Winston gains 10% movement speed for each enemy he is damaging with Tesla Cannon's primary fire, up to 30%.

Wrecking Ball

Replaced Perk:

  • Pack RatMulti-Ball
  • Old: Health Packs heal an additional 100 health.
  • New: Press Q within 5 seconds after using Minefield to deploy 7 additional mines.

Zarya

Replaced Perk:

  • Energy ConverterSpotter (Updated)
  • Old: Hits with Particle Cannon's secondary fire generate 2 energy.
  • New: Projected Barrier activates ally health regeneration and increases their movement speed by 20%.

Updated Perk:

  • Energy Lance: Particle Cannon's beam pierces enemies.

New Perk:

  • Extra Oomph: While a Barrier is active, dealing damage with Particle Cannon's beam generates energy.

Mauga

Updated Perk:

  • Kinetic Bandolier: Overrun reloads up to 150 ammo during the first second of charging.

Damage

Ashe

Replaced Perk:

  • SidewinderDouble-Barreled
  • Old: Coach Gun pushes Ashe and enemies 12% farther.
  • New: Knocking an enemy back with Coach Gun briefly allows you to use one more time with 25% less knockback.

Cassidy

Replaced Perk:

  • Gun Slingin'Rollin' Round-Up
  • Old: Critical hits with Primary Fire reduce the cooldown of Combat Roll by 3 seconds.
  • New: Combat Roll also heals 15 health for each bullet reloaded.

Echo

Updated Perk:

  • Focused Rush: Focused Beam's range is increased by 4 meters and movement speed is increased by 20% when active.

Freja

Replaced Perk:

  • Hunters InstinctRelentless Barrage (Updated)
  • Old: Direct hits with Take Aim reveal enemies to Freja for 3 seconds.
  • New: Direct hits with Take Aim refund 8 automatic bolt ammo.

Replaced Perk:

  • Relentless Barrage (Major) → Rising Winds
  • Old: Direct hits with Take Aim refund 8 automatic bolt ammo.
  • New: Updraft gains an additional charge but has 20% decreased height.

Hanzo

Replaced Perks:

  • Swift LungeDragon Fury (Updated)
  • Old: Arrow hits reduce the cooldown of Lunge by up to 1 second, based on charge.
  • New: Arrow hits reduce the cooldown of Lunge by up to 1 second, based on charge.
  • Dragon Fury (Major) → Frost Arrow
  • Old: After hitting an enemy with Primary Fire, gain 25% attack speed for 2 seconds.
  • New: Press R to ready an explosive frost arrow, slowing enemies hit by 35% for 2 seconds.

Pharah

Replaced Perk:

  • Sky SpyRocket Salvo
  • Old: Concussive Blast reveals targets to Pharah for 3 seconds. During this, the next direct Rocket Launcher hit per target deals 30% extra damage.
  • New: After using a movement ability, your next primary fire also shoots two spiraling mini-rockets, each exploding for 40 damage.

Soldier: 76

Replaced Perk:

  • Recycled Pulse MunitionsHelix Propulsion
  • Old: Helix Rockets reload 15 ammo if they damage an enemy.
  • New: Helix Rockets' projectile speed is increased by 50%.

Sombra

Replaced Perk:

  • Healthy HackerHigh-Speed Bandwidth
  • Old: Hacked health packs provide up to 75 overhealth to Sombra.
  • New: Hacked health packs provide allies with 25% increased movement speed and 50 overhealth for 4 seconds.

Torbjörn

Replaced Perk:

  • Fully LoadedPre-Heated
  • Old: Activating Overload fully refills Rivet Gun's ammo.
  • New: Molten Core activates Overload.

Tracer

Replaced Perks:

  • Blink Packs (Minor) → Chronal Dash
  • Old: Health Packs restore 1 Blink charge.
  • New: Blink distance is increased by 20%.
  • Flashback (Major) → Blink Packs (Updated)
  • Old: Recall increases Blink recovery rate by 150% for 3 seconds.
  • New: Health Packs restore 1 Blink charge.

Vendetta

Replaced Perks:

  • Relentless (Minor) → Extra Edge
  • Old: Onslaught can stack 3 more times, increasing attack speed by 5% and movement speed by 4% per stack.
  • New: Projected Edge costs 25% less energy.
  • Swift Vengeance (Major) → Relentless (Updated)
  • Old: Last player to land a killing blow on you becomes a target. Eliminate the target to gain 150 overhealth and reset cooldowns.
  • New: Onslaught can stack 3 more times, increasing attack speed by 5% and movement speed by 4% per stack.

Widowmaker

Replaced Perk:

  • Escape PlanWidow's Bite
  • Old: Scoped shot hits reduce Grappling Hook's cooldown by up to 4 seconds.
  • New: Scoped shots can charge up to 125% piercing enemies when fully charged.

Support

Baptiste

Replaced Perks:

  • Biotic Reloader (Minor) → Expanded Field
  • Old: Hitting an entire three-round burst reloads a healing projectile. Healing projectile direct hits reloads 3 primary fire ammo.
  • New: Immortality Field's radius is 30% bigger.
  • Automated Healing (Minor) → Assault Burst (Updated)
  • Old: Using any ability triggers Baptiste's Shoulder Turret, periodically firing up to 3 shots at allies, each restoring 25 health.
  • New: Regenerative Burst now provides Baptiste with 20% increased attack speed for 3 seconds.
  • Assault Burst (Major) → Automated Healing (Updated)
  • Old: Regenerative Burst now provides Baptiste with 25% increased attack speed for 4 seconds.
  • New: Using any ability triggers Baptiste's Shoulder Turret, periodically firing up to 3 shots at allies, each restoring 40 health.

Illari

Updated Perk:

  • Solar Flare: Press Primary Fire while using Solar Rifle's healing beam to heal all allies in front of Illari for 100 healing.

Kiriko

Updated Perks:

  • Urgent Care: Healing Ofuda projectile speed is increased by 50% when seeking allies below half health.
  • Foxtrot: Protection Suzu grants allies 30% increased movement speed for 4 seconds.

Lifeweaver

Replaced Perks:

  • Cleansing GraspPetal Protection
  • Old: Life Grip cleanses negative effects. Cleansing a negative effect reduces Life Grip cooldown by 4 seconds.
  • New: Allies heal 20 health per second while standing on Petal Platform.
  • LifeweavingDashing Escape
  • Old: Rejuvenating Dash adds 30 healing to your next Healing Blossom within 3 seconds.
  • New: Rejuvenating Dash's distance is increased by 30%.
  • Petal Power (Major) → Sow The Seed
  • Old: Allies gain 30% attack speed while standing on a raised Petal Platform.
  • New: Quick Melee with Healing Blossom equipped to toss a seed forward. Another ally can pick it up for 75 overhealth and 25% speed boost for 5 seconds.

Moira

Updated Perk:

  • Destruction's Divide: Coalescence can be toggled between pure healing or pure damage, with 30% greater effect.

Zenyatta

Replaced Perk:

  • Transcendent CondemnationDiscordant Repair
  • Old: While using Transcendence, apply Discord Orb to all enemies within range.
  • New: Zenyatta gains 10% lifesteal against enemies with Discord Orb.
